About your therapist

I’m a wife, mom of two, plant lady, cat lady, baker, painter, home chef, TV show binge-watcher, laundry procrastinator, cookie connoisseur, left-handed vegetarian with a bubbly personality - intuitive, compassionate, sarcastic, and honest to a fault.

My style is “no bullshit” - and my clients speak highly of that. It’s a promise I can make to you. I’m your therapist; I’m not here to lie simply to spare your feelings, I’m here to challenge you with the hard stuff. We’re not always going to agree. But what I want is for us to create a foundation of trust and respect where we can be honest with each other. I want to help you cultivate the beautiful life you deserve.

My credentials & experience

I have my Master’s in Family Therapy from Southern Connecticut State University. I am an Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive training in family systems theory. I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) as well as Motivational Interviewing.

Throughout my career, I have worked in settings ranging from private practice couples therapy to adolescent intensive outpatient group therapy to special education behavioral therapy.

I fill my spare time with things that feed my soul and others. One of my favorite things I do is Mother Blessing ceremonies for friends, family, and now others in the CT community.

I am passionate about the deep, transformative journey of motherhood. There is a sacred shift that happens when we become mothers, and it is a chance for us to celebrate, heal, and come together in our divine femininity.

Pregnancy brings two births - one of a new child, and another of a new mother. It needs to be honored in a meaningful way, to aid mama in processing this transition, and to rally around her and support her as her village. It is an opportunity for us to heal generational wounds, pass down ancestral knowledge, and come together as women.

If you know a mama who is expecting or newly postpartum, visit my other site “the mother thread” to learn about these beautiful ceremonies. They are a beautiful, deeply meaningful gift to mothers.

This beautiful artwork by Tarn Ellis Art captures the energy we channel in our ceremonies - it’s about connecting to the magic wisdom of our maternal lineage.
